It was pretty simple, really! In 2005, we started working together at a restaurant in downtown Calgary. We collaborated daily, working to provide the best for customers in-house while also growing the catering department, which primarily served the downtown core. Since we were both committed to crafting simple meals that people raved about and we’d worked so well together for almost ten years, it only seemed natural to open our own catering business.

In 2015, Simplicity became the new Calgary caterer in the “corral.” As word of mouth spread, so did our business. We grew from serving the corporate sector to serving crowd favourites at large scale affairs from Stampede BBQs and receptions to providing craft services to Alberta’s film industry. For us, it was all so organic and we’re grateful we took the leap to follow our dreams.
Today we continue to work with clients in the city and surrounding areas to bring their guests together over simple food done well, fusing our passion in the kitchen and love for event planning with our clients' ideas, bringing their creations to life.
